Dear Blair Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful spring break! We are so excited to welcome our students back, refreshed and ready to learn.
This week, we will be reading the story “Sam Helps Recycle” as we begin wrapping up our Recycling Unit. We will review what we have learned about reducing, reusing, and recycling, and talk about how these choices help take care of our environment. Students will engage in hands-on activities such as sorting recyclable materials, discussing ways to keep our classroom clean, and sharing their ideas with friends. We will also have some fun seasonal activities! Students will make Easter baskets out of brown paper bags, marble paint eggs, and participate in an exciting Easter egg hunt.
As we celebrate the end of our unit, we will be thinking about the important question: “How can we keep our school clean?” We encourage students to use what they have learned and share their ideas with the class.
Family Connection:
At home, let your child help throw things in the trash or recycling bin. You can also have your child help clean up toys after playing. Talk about keeping things clean and taking care of our home.

¡Esperamos que todos hayan tenido unas maravillosas vacaciones de primavera! Estamos muy emocionados de recibir a nuestros estudiantes de regreso, descansados y listos para aprender.
Esta semana leeremos el cuento “Sam Helps Recycle” mientras comenzamos a cerrar nuestra unidad de reciclaje. Repasaremos lo que hemos aprendido sobre reducir, reutilizar y reciclar, y hablaremos sobre cómo estas acciones ayudan a cuidar nuestro medio ambiente. Los estudiantes participarán en actividades prácticas como clasificar materiales reciclables, h¡También tendremos actividades divertidas de temporada! Los estudiantes harán canastas de Pascua con bolsas de papel, pintarán huevos con la técnica de canicas y participarán en una emocionante búsqueda de huevos de Pascua.
Mientras celebramos el final de nuestra unidad, pensaremos en la pregunta importante: “¿Cómo podemos mantener limpia nuestra escuela?” Animamos a los estudiantes a compartir sus ideas con la clase.
Conexión con la Familia:
En casa, permita que su hijo/a ayude a tirar la basura o poner objetos en el contenedor de reciclaje. También puede ayudar a recoger los juguetes después de jugar. Hable sobre mantener las cosas limpias y cuidar nuestro hogar.
