Dear Parents,
We are so excited to start this fabulous school year with our awesome students and their wonderful families! We look forward to seeing you at our Back to School Bash this Thursday, August 14th from 9:30am - 11:00am.

During the week of August 11th, your child’s teacher will be reaching out to you to introduce themselves. They will inform you about their classrooms and answer any questions you have in mind. This year, we do not have a specific school supply list. Blair provides most of the students’ school supplies. If your child’s teacher has a specific request, they will reach out to you.

Our entire Blair Staff firmly believes the importance of our students’ safety, care and overall growth. Our top priorities are the health and safety of our Blair community. We must work together to ensure the following:

• Students must stay home if they are exhibiting any symptoms such as fever, vomitting, diarrhea, rashes and an uncontrollable cough.
• If your child has allergies, asthma, a seizure disorder or needs to take medications during the school day, we must have doctors’ orders on file.
• Parents, if you receive a call that your child is exhibiting symptoms or is sick, you must have someone available to pick up your child ASAP and always have a backup person if you are unavailable.
• School Health Exams and Shot records are due no later than October 15th.
• Students should wear gym shoes to school daily.
• For students who qualify for Bus Services per their IEP: the school bus transportation services are a curb to curb service. School bus timing for pick ups and drop offs depends on weather, traffic, trains and the number of children on the buses. Please be flexible and always have an adult available to put your child on the bus and receive your child at the end of the day.

Our school programs are enriched with music education through ChiME and yoga through 5 Keys Yoga. Our mission is to teach “the whole child” and we believe that these supports will enhance their experiences at Blair.

An additional update is that our K / 1 students will begin school on Monday, August 18th and ALL Pre-K students will begin on Tuesday, August 19th.
